About me
I live on the Surrey and SW London borders with my husband and dog Scout. I have a grown-up daughter and have recently been blessed with baby twin granddaughters. Though I live in Greater London, offering sessions remotely over Zoom means I can provide supervision across the UK.
I am an experienced BSL interpreter specialising in police, mental health, domestic abuse and performance interpreting. I qualified as a Professional Supervisor through 360 Supervision in 2017 and became a CAVA qualified assessor in 2022.
Interpreting can be a lonely profession. We regularly face ethical dilemmas, microaggressions, witness discrimination and navigate the everyday highs and lows of working with people, all while being expected to remain impartial and professional. The effect this can have on our “humanness” can be difficult to manage, but with regular supervision, we have a wonderful opportunity to talk through these demands and their impact on our emotions.
The sessions I offer provide a welcoming, non-judgemental, confidential space for you to reflect on your work and the relationships you form. My aim is to help you discover and develop a toolbox of skills and strategies so you can find your own inner supervisor, build your confidence and get closer to a manageable work/life balance.
